Runner up in Debate Competition

The achievement

I finished as runner up in the debate competition at Textile Olympiad 2022. The event was hosted by the Department of Textile Engineering at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University in October 2022.

Learning through competition

Participating connected my academic field with my interest in debate. It gave me an opportunity to practise critical thinking and explain an argument in a competitive setting.

What stays with me

I value the confidence and communication practice I gained through these events. They taught me to prepare carefully, consider alternative views and make my reasoning understandable to someone else.
